I think you're right, and nobody knows how to dress properly anymore-- or even realizes that there *is* such a concept.
Dear God. I just realized something . . . CLEARLY I AM GETTING OLD.
In the spirit of schadenfreude, I saw a woman in Blockbuster one night, who was not only in her pajamas and slippers, curlers in her hair, but who WAS ALSO WEARING HER BATHROBE.
I have a great deal of sympathy for your Aunt Lavinia, suddenly! ;)
