Bounce, bounce, bounce!
Jan. 30th, 2004 05:54 pmI just got off the phone with the doctor's office about the results of my latest ultrasound to monitor the progress of the blood clot.
And it's dissolved to the point that I can stop taking medication!
WHOO-HOO!!!!!
Oh, sure, my circulation is still compromised, so I'm looking at medical compression hosiery for the foreseeable future.
And, granted, there's some residual difficulty . . . some nerve damage that mostly involves not being able to feel two of my toes on occasion, and there's still some clot remaining, and some pain in the leg, but overall?
No more blood thinners! No fear of falling! No mystery bruises! No panic when I get a papercut and bleed like a stuck pig!!
And hey, I can shave my legs now. Cool.
On another topic, I am entertaining myself immensely by chatting on Y!M with strangers. When they're not complete fucking weirdos, it's a lot of fun.
Oh, the pushy guy from before? Told him to piss off, yes I did. You are right, I SO don't need that shit.
I am contemplating acquiring a new dog, because the house seems so empty without a dog in it. I haven't decided yet, though.
There are a couple of promising ones in the local shelters . . . I think I'll discuss it with my folks tonight over dinner. Since they'll be doing some of the dog-sitting while I'm out at classess and whatever, I figure that I should run it by them.
So . . . I'm off for Indian food at Dad's expense. Yum.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
