Mar. 9th, 2004 05:41 pmI went to Marshall's last night and returned two hundred dollars' worth of silk pillows, since the colors weren't quite what I had in mind for the couches in the living room.
Then I met my mom at Chi-Chi's for dinner, which was pretty good. It's been a long time since I've eaten there, and it was a nice change of pace. I've been eating so much Indian food lately, I'd forgotten that there were other cuisines.
After I got home, I took Truffle out of her cage and played with her for a while. She's getting used to her new home, but she's still very nervous in open spaces.
It's nice to have a pocket-sized pet -- I tucked her in my sweatshirt pocket and carried her around the house with me for a while, and she was really good!
Bouncing to another topic . . . you all know that I am dead set against having children.
However, if I did so, and if they happened to be twins, and if they were boys . . . I would name them Caleb and Jacob.
I don't know why those names appeal to me so much. I'm not particularly Biblical, and tradition has never mattered much to me, so I can't really figure this out.
Sigh.
I'm bored.
Bored, bored, bored . . . bored out of my gourd.
I may actually have to do some work today, just to alleviate the unmitigated boredom.
I wish I could just leave early.
