"Without A Trace" slash - ep. Coming Home
Mar. 31st, 2004 10:57 amFuck me, but I'm knackered.
I'm at that level surpassing merely "tired", when one actually becomes nauseated from lack of sleep.
Please, someone shoot me.
Anyway, last night was my first grad school class. Go me!
I'm on my way to becoming a "real" librarian.
The first hour was fairly interesting. Then they brought in someone from the main campus library, who lectured on . . . you guessed it.
The same fucking thing that I do for eight hours a day!
Yep. Catalog searching. "This is an online catalog. Say it with me, class. Good! Now, can you say electronic journal?"
I was ready to stick my fingers in my ears. This is graduate school, people! How can you possibly not know this stuff already?
And on top of that, the guy was a poor speaker -- although in his defense, they had just merged the catalogs and redesigned the webpage on Monday, so I guess he was a little confused, too.
After determining that I already knew the material, I spent the next two hours writing fanfic in my notebook.
I've been trying to write some fic for the show "Without A Trace" since the episode Coming Home aired back in December. The other day,
thamiris practically dared encouraged me to write just four porny slash sentences, which I somehow succeeded in doing.
So. Slash ahoy!
Show: Without A Trace
Episode: Coming Home
Characters: Luke Horner / Ryan Hill
( The four sentences. )
And then last night in class, my mind wandering over terrain both near and far, I came up with this.
( Here's some more. A little of the hot, a lot of the angst. )
It probably helps if you've seen the episode, or at least read a summation, but you'll have to look it up online. I'm sorry, but I'm way too tired to produce a synopsis right now.
So what do you think? I'm not sure if I like what I've produced or not, but I'm too happy at having managed anything to quibble with my muse.
