I spent almost the entire time engaged in the time-honored pursuit of Ducking One's Responsibilities.
So I do NOT have a clean house, and I do NOT have a completed homework assignment.
What I do have is six new pairs of summer shoes and a highly entertained hamster.
Yes, folks . . . apparently hamsters are easily bored little critters who need lots of tubes and balls and wheels and things to keep their tiny little minds occupied.
I just spent fifty bucks on toys for a glorified rat.
So much for the low-maintenance pet.
I also shopped for shoes and swimsuits. The former was an unqualified success . . . the latter, an abject failure.
And do you notice that I'm still not doing my homework?
