bitching about the muses, take two
Apr. 11th, 2005 10:55 amOne of the things that drives me BATSHIT CRAZY about writing fic is the insistence of the characters on doing their own thing.
I had all these carefully plotted pairings that have now been totally thrown out the window, since Connor has insisted on developing a crush on Clark, Lex has retaliated by going after Kyle (Roswell), Lindsey wants to hook up with Tony (NCIS), and despite the fact that I have *never* written femmeslash, Olivia from SVU and Kate from NCIS are joined at the hip.
My narrator has defaulted to Riley, since he's the only character who's behaving himself. Well, and that he's so easy for me to write.
I should give credit where it's due and add that Nick and Greg from CSI are at least quiet and non-rebellious, although I don't feel comfortable writing them yet, and so they are likely doomed to remain peripheral characters.
Ooh, I just noticed. I have an alphabet soup of TV series, here.
( Wanna see the cast of characters so far? )
