Music meme!

As everyone knows, I'm a sucker for memes, especially music memes. Gakked from scribblinlenore.

Step 1: Put your iPod player on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 35 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly. (Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!)


Things that I considered to be exceptionally obscure have an additional line or two.

Mothers.

I just spent fifteen minutes on the phone with my mom because she's freaking out over the price of oil going up and wants me to hang out the window of the bus on the way home tonight so that I can call her if the gas station on the outskirts of town is sufficiently cheap for her to make A SPECIAL TRIP OUT to get TWO LOUSY GALLONS of gas.

Because that's all she has room for in her tank. Two gallons.

I suggested she call them up and just *ask* the price if it was so important, but she whined that "well, they don't put numbers like that in the phone book". Since when? Of course, then I tried to look it up online and got nowhere, which pissed me off because it's like she was right or something.

She's going through all this fuss, for what? And, I might add, chewing up minutes on my cell phone plan? To save a quarter? Which she is then going TO USE IN GAS TO GET THERE AND BACK.

I'm going to shoot myself in the head.
