Lindsey

Forty-five seconds after Lorne threw down his gun and left the room, Lindsey opened his eyes.

Magic burned in his blood as he coughed out the two bullets, glad for the small caliber that did relatively little internal damage.

A punctured lung and a nicked aorta were easy to heal rapidly, and he'd just beaten the five-minute cutoff for bleeding out.

Lindsey still felt lightheaded and a little shocky from blood loss, but he took deep breaths and concentrated on absorbing energy from his magicks.

There would be a price for this, he knew.

There always was.

But this time . . . he didn't plan on being the one to pay it.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt the need to start writing after last night.

Perfect!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I needed hope, after that scene. And I believe your version absolutely.
