Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] dolomir. Pretty much right on the money, too.

Love Test - Animal Test

1. You are attracted to those who are elegant and well-mannered.

2. In the process of courtship, the approach that would make you
feel irresistable is patience, never give up on you.

3. The impression you would like to give to your lover is loyal,
faithful, never change.

4. You don't like it when your partner is emotional and/or too
moody; and you don't know how to please him/her.

5. The kind of relationship you would like to build with your
partner is one which make you feel warmth and in-love always.

6. You care about the society and morality, you won't do anything
wrong after marriage.

7. You are afraid of marriage, you think it would take away your
freedom.

8. At this moment, you don't have the thirst for love, you can't do
anything for it, you won't fall for it easily.

Aargh. If I couldn't have been born independently wealthy, why can't I at least win the lottery?

I swear, those people who win boatloads of money and then keep their jobs? They're fools.

Or, maybe, they just have the good fortune to actually *enjoy* their jobs.

I hate mine.

Anyway. ::: big sigh ::: I will not sulk, I will not sulk, I will not . . . . Oh, who am I kidding? I'm sulking. But I'm trying not to. Too much.

On to good news.

My landlord wants to wait to make settlement on my condo until after January 1, so that he doesn't take as much of a hit on his capital gains taxes. That's cool with me, because it gives me three more months to come up with the down payment. Also, I found out that I can clean out my retirement fund in TIAA-CREF to put towards said down payment. First I have to roll it into an IRA, but then I can cash it in ( supposedly without penalty! ) as a first-time homebuyer.

So with the retirement pay, the security deposit from renting, and my plan to cash in my accumulated vacation time . . . I'm better than halfway to the necessary total.

Wheeeeeeeee!

Now if I could only shake my writer's block . . . .
